I don't know the answer, but I just use files without the .org (e.g. "test.gpg") and set up encryption with org's in-buffer settings: # -*- mode:org; epa-file-encrypt-to: ("email@example.com") -*- [-- Attachment #2: signature.asc --] [-- Type: application/pgp-signature, Size: 833 bytes --]

Yes it should -- I will have a look at this, and if the fix does not
